First Travel Solutions (FTS) has recently recruited 35 new members of staff. They will be joining the Ground Co-ordination team to support FTS with their rail replacement contracts - South Western Railway and Great Western Railway.

The new ground co-ordinators recently attended an induction training course that included a core safety brief and banksperson training.

Shahid Ullah, Lead Operations Manager for FTS said; "It was fantastic to have spent some time training a highly motivated and engaged group of people. The training mainly focused on our company ethos and core values but also covered the practical side of the job.

Banksperson training was delivered in a classroom environment but the trainees did get the opportunity to put into practice what they had learnt later in the day through a practical demonstration. 

The trainees are now out at our key stations on both rail networks supporting their fellow ground co-ordinators and assisting customers."
