The new partnership with Autocab will improve the customer experience with the introduction of a new automated booking process.
First Travel Solutions, one of the UK’s leading experts in transport management, has expanded its taxi booking system for its clients, through a new partnership with market-leading booking & dispatch specialists, Autocab.
The strategic partnership with Autocab enhances First Travel Solutions taxi network and will allow the business to introduce an automated booking process for taxi operators using Autocab’s dispatch solution. The integration will create seamless, automated end-to-end booking processes, delivering a wide range of benefits, including real-time passenger information and administration efficiencies.
The partnership will also deliver a range of benefits to the overall passenger experience, including; quick access to vehicle make, model and colour through vehicle and journey information, as well as complete transparency of the journey through real time passenger information using Google Maps.
Speaking about the partnership, Christopher Lee, Procurement & Quality Manager at First Travel Solutions, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Autocab as their market-leading booking & dispatch system will integrate directly into the First Travel Solutions web based booking platform, enabling ground transportation requirements to be distributed to our suppliers and allocated to their drivers in seconds.
“Our approved supplier list includes more than 1,500 operators and we are looking to automate our booking processes through systems like Autocab to help improve operational efficiencies.”
Dave Rose, Product Manager at Autocab, said: “We are extremely pleased to be working with First Travel Solutions. The strategic partnership reflects both organisations’ desire to improve end-to-end efficiencies within the supply and demand of the transportation sector and how technical innovation is driving change as Autocab focus on delivering the iGo network, which helps transform local taxi firms into national booking platforms."
At FTS we'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support.
The thank you starts first and foremost with our staff who continue to deliver transport solutions for our clients every single day. It's only through their hard work and efforts that we've had such a successful year.
Thanks also to our network of quality suppliers - coaches and taxis. They're based across the UK and during 2017 they've literally travelled hundreds of thousands of miles with us!
The final thank you goes to you, our customers. We've been really lucky to work on some amazing, world class events during the year and we're grateful for your continued support.
Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
It's been a record-breaking year for the team at First Travel Solutions (FTS).
The team has worked on some iconic events over the course of the year including the UEFA Champions League Final that was held in Cardiff and the World Championship Athletics and Parathletics Championships. Both were held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London over the summer.
Transport solutions have been delivered for music festivals as well as rail replacement services and air disruption services.
All that's taken place in addition to the everyday transport FTS provide to a long list of regular clients.
Richard Kirk, Commercial Director for FTS said; "Being involved with iconic events is always something the team really enjoys. It normally presents us with big challenges logistically but that's something that we relish, pulling all aspects of a large-scale transport project together.
However, we don't forget our everyday clients whilst all this excitement is going on. They're every bit as important to us."
During 2017 to date, FTS has operated 25,326 coach service journeys and 40,401 taxi service journeys. That's alot of miles!
First Travel Solutions (FTS) has recently recruited 35 new members of staff. They will be joining the Ground Co-ordination team to support FTS with their rail replacement contracts - South Western Railway and Great Western Railway.
The new ground co-ordinators recently attended an induction training course that included a core safety brief and banksperson training.
Shahid Ullah, Lead Operations Manager for FTS said; "It was fantastic to have spent some time training a highly motivated and engaged group of people. The training mainly focused on our company ethos and core values but also covered the practical side of the job.
Banksperson training was delivered in a classroom environment but the trainees did get the opportunity to put into practice what they had learnt later in the day through a practical demonstration.
The trainees are now out at our key stations on both rail networks supporting their fellow ground co-ordinators and assisting customers."
Gareth Evans, Editor of Coach & Bus Week (CBW) magazine paid FTS a visit recently at our offices in Simonstone.
FTS has undergone a significant amount of change in the last 18 months including a rebrand with new logos, a new website and much more.
Our marketing support agency Buzz Marketing, worked with Gareth and his team at CBW to ensure the FTS transition story was told in the publication. The end result was a 6 page feature in the issue dated 31st October 2017.
