First Travel Solutions has been shortlisted for two awards at this year's BETA British Youth Travel Awards.  The shortlisting for Best Transport Provider and Ethical, Responsible, Sustainable Tourism Award further highlights the quality of transport management and provision that FTS has delivered this year.

Working tirelessly to deliver safe and efficient transport, this shortlisting showcases FTS’s continued focus on safety, quality, reliability, and sustainability in youth travel.

The Best Transport Provider Award 2023 recognises the transport provider that can demonstrate a commitment to quality, innovation training and customer service.

Our three ISO accreditations in Health and safety, Quality, and Environmental Management set us apart from other transport providers. In line with our ISOs, we carry out extra due diligence on all of our 1,500 coach and taxi suppliers, which helps to support customers’ Duty of Care and sustainability responsibilities towards their travellers.

We want to be at the heart of everyone's journeys, being the first choice for customers and business partners. Our way of doing things is just as important as what we do. Our values include always care, do what's right, succeed together, shape the future. Instilling these values into all our team members ensures that all customers are shown warmth and compassion, our team members have a 'can do' attitude and that they never stop learning and improving, all of which benefit our customers.

Safety is at the heart of our business. We are committed to operating a 'safety first' approach across all areas of the business, and of course, this includes our young customers.  We have a dedicated school transport service with our First Education and School Travel business, specialising in school trip packages, educational travel and outdoor adventure. We are an official school tour operator working to package travel regulations. We are also members of The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.

Andy Scholey, Managing Director First Travel Solutions, said: “We are delighted to make the shortlist in these reputable awards.  The youth market is our future, and taking care of them is important for the journey they are on now and to instil confidence in their future travel too.  A great experience now will lead to assured travellers of tomorrow.”

The winners will be announced on 22nd November in London.
