First Travel Solutions, has been awarded the MEI Best Service Innovation Award. Both Rashid Butt and Joe Bryant accepted the award on behalf of the team during the recent MEI Events Summit held at The Emirates Old Trafford Manchester on November 1st 2023.
The Best Service Innovation Award recognises First Travel Solutions' outstanding environmental sustainability commitment and groundbreaking initiatives to revolutionise ground transport.
Tupokigwe Mwaijumba from Major Events International said, “First Travel Solutions’ parent company has embraced the longer-term horizon by partnering with Reaseheath College, Cheshire, to set up the UK’s first engineering academy for training apprentices on the next generation of zero-emission vehicles.
Their zero-carbon solution means they are the first ground transport supplier to commit to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. This year, they invested £81m in a fleet of 193 electric buses, the largest order in the UK outside of London. All these buses are being built in the UK.”
